Graphi-Q2 Software
Take Ultimate Control of your Graphi-Q2!

Graphi-Q2 Remote for Windows gives you the same hands-on feel as the front panel, and allows you to control up to 16 channels of Graphi-Q2s simultaneously. All the major functions you need are there on the screen, ready for use. You rarely need to leave the main screen or pull down a menu to access the control you need.

The new GRQ2 Crossover allows for easy editing of all your crossover parameters, and allows for custom filter and slope selection on both sides of the crossover point. Your setting are displayed in real-time on the Response Curve display, which also selectively displays the graphic EQ, high & low cut, parametric, and FBX filters, for both the A and B channels, in any combination.

Parametric Filter control allows you to switch any filter from fully-programmable parametric to Fixed or Dynamic FBX filters. In Automatic FBX Setup Mode, the Graphi-Q2 automatically sets up the FBX filters - just sit back and watch as the unit raises the gain, places all the FBX filters at a super-quiet level, and displays the added gain you get, all in real time.

Use the BYPASS and Active matrix to manage the status of every Graphi-Q2 function. Make fine adjustments to other Graphi-Q2 functions, including graphic EQ filter widths from ½ octave to one full octave, and adjust attack, release, and knee on the compressor. We’ll even show you a line graph of your gain structure, graphically displaying every parameter.

Using your computer as a platform gives you unlimited memory storage of GRQ2 files.  Each file holds up to 20 presets, and you can transfer these settings to the on-board memory locations within each GRQ2. You can also access all GRQ2 memory locations via the back-panel Euro-Block remote switching connectors. Using a simple contact closure switch, you can offer scene change options to users who have other access to any GRQ2 controls, and you can print a three-page report that records the setting of every prarameter in the GRQ2, including a frequency response curve.

Current Software Version Notes:

Version 5.43— Current Release (For Graphi-Q2 and Graphi-Q) May 11, 2007
Fixes a bug with contact clusures. Contact closure dialog screen now correctly reflects the available presets for contact closure assignment.

Previous Releases

Version 5.42— (For Graphi-Q2 and Graphi-Q) April 17, 2006
Fixes a few minor bugs. Default FBX filter width settings are stored properly, network connections are improved, and High Pass/Low Pass filter slope control is fixed

Version 5.3 — (For Graphi-Q2 and Graphi-Q) August 29, 2005
Version 5.3 corrects the password protocols found in GRQ2 Remote Software. Visitor-level users cannot alter any parameters in the software. Visitor level is only available after Admistrator, Engineer, and Technician-level passwords are set.

Version 5.1— (For Graphi-Q2 and Graphi-Q) March 15, 2005
Version 5.1 fixes the display of serial numbers on GRQ3122-S and GRQ3121-S units. Adds a feature: When connecting to GRQ2 units via the software, you can “ping” each one to identify it on the Connect GraphiQ-2 page. The front panel LEDs will light when you click on each unit, which is very useful for identifying each one in your network. Version 5.1 also enables control of Graphi-Qs with firmware versions down to 3.30. The previous release (5.0) did not work with units below version 4.00.

Version 5.00 (For Graphi-Q2 and Graphi-Q)—February 1, 2005
Initial software for the Graphi-Q2 Series. You can use the Sabine UpGrade Wizard to download this software, or click on the link above. The Upgrade Wizard is available from the Help (or Help, About) menu in your remote control software.

(For Graphi-Q only)

Version 4.00July 12, 2004
Version 4.0 offers the following improvements: Software version 4.0 allows units with firmware version 3.6 and firmware version 4.1 to network together.

Version 3.40December 12, 2002
Version 3.40 fixes noise on some units associated with front panel control. Provides control of manual or automatic digital clip level (ClipGuard®). Switching to manual fixes some problems associated with digital artifacts after long periods of silence. The default setting is ClipGuard active. When choosing manual clip level control from the front panel the default setting is +19.5 dBV. Provides for setting digital clip level when in manual mode (GRQ Remote Control Software only). The range of settings is 12.5 to + 29 dBV.

ClipGuard and Digital Clip Level
You can now choose to manually control the digital clip level of any Graphi-Q that is upgraded to version 3.40 (or higher) firmware and software. This means you can toggle ClipGuard Automatic Clip Level Control to either an ON or OFF condition, a function present in Sabine’s Power-Q and now available in the Graphi-Q. ClipGuard works to maintain unity gain while automatically maximizing the dynamic range of the Graphi-Q.

The purpose for switching to manual control is to allow the user to adjust the digital clip level of the unit to match the gain structure of their particular sound system. This is a very powerful adjustment not found on most digital signal processors. But you must be careful: setting your clip level manually means you must account for high gain inputs that may produce digital clipping! ClipGuard prevents this from happening, so watch your input LEDs on the Graphi-Q carefully when in manual clip level mode. Do not input a signal that produces clipping – adjust the gain structure of your system to prevent that. Read more
