“The
transmitter is the weak link for most wireless
microphone systems,” states Jeff Good, production
manager and FOH engineer for Warner Bros. recording
artists Trapt. “But the new SWM7000
2.4 GHz transmitter is amazing. The high-end
clarity — where most units tend to fluctuate
— is crystal clear.”
“Furthermore, it’s very
easy to use in RF-unfriendly environments,”
asserts Good. “For example, we were at
the Minnesota State Fair and having a terrible
time with interference on our other wireless
units, but the Sabine 2.4 GHz was fine the moment
we turned it on — no interference whatsoever!” Read

2.4 GHz Wireless & Graphi-Q Sweep the Ice at Harvard |
Although
Harvard's Alexander H. Bright Hockey Center
has undergone many improvements during its 47
years as home ice for the Crimson, the recent
improvements performed by Audio Associates (Orleans,
MA) may prove the best sounding.
Audio Associates designed and installed
a distributive sound system incorporating three
channels of Sabine Graphi-Q
and the new SWM7000
2.4 GHz wireless microphone.
"We tried the SWM7000 just after
it started shipping and absolutely loved all
the features — including the ability to lock
out access to front-panel control of those features,"
states Welch.

"Sabine's Mic SuperModeling™
is fantastic," he continues. "It's very easy to dial
in the best sounding [virtual] capsule for a vocalist's
specific needs."
"The Graphi-Q is extremely accurate — and having
Sabine's FBX Feedback Exterminator, compression and
delay built into one rack space is a tremendous advantage,"
proclaims Welch. Read

Tips: RF Scanner Tells All
Sabine 2.4 GHz Wireless
Receiver has a Built-in RF Scanner
Use
the SWM7000
receiver's built-in
scanner to locate potential interference. Remember,
potential interference in the 2.4 GHz band is low power,
and much more manageable than the high-powered interference
present in the UHF band.
Here are some of the time & gig-saving functions
you can perform on this FREE
scanner (download
the SWM7000
Operating Guide for a complete understanding
of scanner functions):
|
- Run
a one-time or continuous scan
- See
all SWM7000 transmitters (green lines) —
with channel number & signal strength
indicated
- See
potential interference by channel number &
signal strength
- View
& print out an RF signal history for each
channel
- Block
channel(s) so that they cannot be selected
from the front panel of the receiver
- Create
a channel-block threshold for interference.
This robust feature allows you to decide which
channels will be blocked, based on the relative
strength of the potential interference.
- Save
scans as files for future reference
- Print
scans
