NEW
FBX FEEDBACK EXTERMINATORS®:
A LOT MORE FOR A LOT LESS
We are now shipping the next generation of our award-winning automatic feedback
controllers: the new FBX1200
and FBX2400 Feedback Exterminators. And we found a way to give you a lot
more feedback control for a lot less money.
HOW
MUCH MORE?
SMARTFilter® Technology. SMARTFilters have laser-like
accuracy and 1 Hz resolution, targeting feedback while leaving your sound
untouched. Filter placement is super-fast, and filters are accurately placed
on feedback, not music, so the FBX works during your show, not just at setup.
Quick
& Quiet Setup.
Just push the Setup button and raise the gain - you'll be ready to start the
show in just 30 seconds. During
setup the speed of the SMARTFilters is ramped up - you'll be amazed at how
fast you will be ready to go.
New Three-Color Display. Setting up your FBX is easier than ever.
The front-panel filter LEDs now light in three colors. Unlocked Fixed filters
are amber, Locked Fixed filters are red and Dynamic filters display as green.
You always know the state of each filter and where you are in the setup process.
Flexible
Filter Control.
Mix filter widths according to your application, lock or unlock your fixed
filters, and reset your dynamics either manually or with the new Dynamic Filter
Release Timer.
HOW
MUCH LESS?
Even with all this new feedback control power the FBX does less
to your sound than ever before.
Transparent Sound. Your feedback controller should do
nothing to your sound. Extremely narrow and shallow, Sabine's superior
quality, true Constant "Q" filters are custom made to target
only feedback. That means more gain without sacrificing your sound quality.
New Low Price. When we say we've reduced the price, we're
not kidding. The FBX1200 is reduced by a third, and the FBX2400 by half!
You can now get the best algorithm, the best features, and the best specs
at Sabine's most competitive price ever. Put a channel of the new FBX
on every mic in your system.
And
perhaps the best news is these new FBX Feedback Exterminators are NOW
SHIPPING!

UPGRADE WIZARD

No, this isn’t a magic-wand-waving, incantation-bellowing type of wizard, but it is almost as amazing. This wizard helps you stay up to date on the firmware and software of your Sabine products. Both the Graphi-Q and 2.4 GHz wireless products use Flash RAM to store their internal operating systems. This is good news for you because you can update the operating system (also known as firmware) of your unit any time you like at no charge! We are always making improvements to the firmware of our products and periodically we release them on our web site. Our friendly Upgrade Wizard walks you through the task. When you install your Sabine Remote Control Software for either the Graphi-Q or SWM7000 Wireless, the Upgrade Wizard is automatically installed on your computer. There are two ways to access this program. The first is via your Programs directory. Use your Start button, choose Programs, then choose Sabine. You will find the Upgrade Wizard in that menu. Another way to access the Wizard is within the SWM7000 Software. Run that software (but do not connect to your receiver) and pull down the Help Menu. There you will find a direct connection to the Upgrade Wizard. |
SHINEDOWN
USES SABINE’S 2.4 GHz WIRELESS MIC SYSTEM ON THE CONAN O’BRIEN
SHOW
ALACHUA, FL - Atlantic recording artist Shinedown made their national
TV debut Tuesday April 27th on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and lead singer
Brent Smith used the Sabine
2.4 GHz wireless microphone system. The band was invited to the NBC studios
to perform their hit song "45".
Sabine’s new SWM7000 systems operate on the globally accepted and license-free
2.4 GHz band and are clear of the new DTV frequencies. “The thing we
like about the SWM7000 series is its use of the 2.4 GHz band. It is not in
the UHF Spectrum,” says Shinedown road manager Roy Fisher. “It
is what UHF was ten years ago.”
During setup for the Conan O’Brien show the studio sound crew was concerned
about finding available RF channels for the Sabine wireless. “I told
them not to worry, just turn it on, it’s 2.4 GHz,” says Fisher.
“And the show sounded great!”
The SWM7000 series utilizes a new scheme for transmission and reception that
provides flat response from 20 Hz to 20 KHz — ideal for use with both
voice and musical instruments.

Once the Wizard is open follow the instructions for upgrading your receiver or Graph-Q. This is always a two-step process. The first step is getting the firmware downloaded from our web site. All you need is an Internet connection – the Wizard takes care of everything else. Be sure and choose the right product firmware version for your unit. Some firmware versions are based on serial numbers, so it is a good idea to have that ready. (Here’s a tip: in connected mode your remote control software tells you the serial number in the About screen.)
The next step calls for you to connect your computer to the Sabine unit via RS232 using a standard DB9 cable. Once again you will run the Upgrade Wizard and follow the instructions, which will walk you through the process of uploading the firmware to the receiver or Graphi-Q. You will be prompted to turn off and turn on your unit, and the Wizard will keep you posted on the progress.
After you upgrade your Graphi-Q you should re-calibrate your front panel (check the operating guide for this procedure). The 2.4 GHz wireless receivers have rotary encoders so no calibration is necessary.
You can also use the Upgrade Wizard to update your Remote Control Software. Connect to the Internet, run the Wizard, choose Upgrade Software, and follow the instructions.
If you have any questions about this procedure you can read about it in the Graphi-Q or SWM7000 operating guides, and in the Help section of the Graphi-Q or SWM7000 Remote Software.
Download the Sabine Upgrade Wizard, and give it a try.
