Sabine SWM7000/SWM6000 Firmware

NOTE: Firmware version must be compatible with SWM7000/SWM6000 Software version. See notes below.
 

Your SWM7000/SWM6000 receiver has its own operating system which is called firmware. Periodically we may update the SWM7000/SWM6000 firmware to make improvements in the features and functions of our 2.4 GHz and 915 MHz Wireless Systems. You can take advantage of these upgrades on your own. Download the Upgrade Wizard, run the setup, and follow the instructions to upgrade the internal firmware of your receiver. The Wizard will tell you if there is an appropriate upgrade available for your wireless unit. And remember, keeping your SWM7000/SWM6000 up-to-date with the latest and greatest firmware/software is FREE from Sabine!

NOTE: Your receiver's current firmware version will appear in the lower right of the LCD screen briefly during boot up, just prior to the default screen.

Adds the following features:

This firmware changes the way that the RF bars are displayed, they have been rescaled to more accurately reflect the signal strength.

Upgrade Wizard version 5.0 or higher to upgrade to ths version of the receiver firmware.
Download firmware version 3.04 now using Sabine Upgrade Wizard.

Version 3.03June 08, 2010
Adds the following features:

1. This firmware fixes occasional problems with starting the RF scan using the remote control software.
2.Automatic channel selection: To use this feature, hold down either the A or B edit button and turn the RF channel selection knob. The receiver will scan all channels and automatically select the best available channel. This process takes about 1 second.

Version 2.81 April 07, 2005
Adds network identification function. Receiver front panel flashes when you click that receiver’s icon in the Device Network window of the remote software. You can also identify receivers by right-clicking the display in the All-Channel View. This is a handy way of verifying your hardware/software connections.


Version 2.75 — March 03, 2005
Channel names set from the Remote software are now displayed on the receiver LCD. Diversity switching is not displayed on the LCD if there is no RF carrier. Computer connections to the receiver are improved for the Upgrade Wizard. Default setting for the FBX is now Bypass mode.


For Guitar players: Automatic output gain switching is now in effect. When setting the beltpack to GUI (instrument) mode, the output gain of the receiver is reduced by 20 dB. This allows better interfacing with guitar amplifiers. This can be disabled by setting dipswitch #3 up. This feature is only available on receivers with serial numbers above xx17000.


Version 2.68 — January 11, 2005

You will need to have version 2.10 or above Remote Control Software to control receivers flashed with version 2.68 firmware.

Version 2.68 improves RF performance and reduces the likelihood of muting and dropouts.


Version 2.60 — December 4, 2004
Version 2.60 offers the following improvements: Improved telemetry reception, which speeds up the recognition of a transmitter being turned on and increases range. Also new condenser mic models are available. In addition, when turning off the transmitter or in case of a lost connection, the current mic model remains active. When turning the RF channel knob, the channel is changed on the second click, as in the other front panel control knobs.


Version 2.40 October 4, 2004
You will need to have version 2.1 or above Remote Control Software to control receivers flashed with version 2.40 firmware.

Version 2.40 offers the following improvements: When a beltpack is in operation and set to Guitar mode the receiver De-esser knob becomes a Cable Compensator and allows for a high-frequency cut that simulates the loss from an instrument cable. In addition Output Mixing is enabled by pressing both the Channel A and B selector buttons. Output mixing mixes the audio from both channels and sends it out both of the audio outputs.Version 2.40 also improves computer connections when using a USB cable.

Version 2.06 offers the following improvements:
This version provides increased range and fewer drop outs.

Version 2.03 offers the following improvements: Front panel control knob response is improved.


Version 2.02 December 10, 2003
Version 2.02 offers the following improvements: Faster loading times of Networked ND systems; The reset parameters function will reset the B channel parameters when Reset All is chosen in the software, and USB communications are improved.


Version 2.01 November 17, 2003
Version 2.01 offers the following improvements: The expander settings for the A and B channel are now truly independent and the expander settings and Mic Models are updated automatically and accurately when changing from handheld mic to the beltpack, and from guitar to mic settings on a beltpack.
