Using Mic SuperModeling™

Choose the mic capsule emulation program you want to apply to the selected channel by using the Mic SuperModeling pulldown menu. You can also change the Mic Model by using the Active Channels Window popup menu (right click on the selected channel in the Active Channels Window).

“None” is the default choice, giving you the sound of Sabine’s high quality standard capsule.

SuperModeling is available only for handheld microphone transmitters. Available model libraries vary for dynamic or condenser capsules; the selection is determined automatically by telemetry information sent by the transmitter in use. Mic SuperModeling™ is not enabled for headworn or lavalier microphones, and is turned off for beltpack transmitters.

Updating your mic models — If your computer is connected to the Internet, you can easily add new mic models from Sabine’s website to your receiver.

1. After starting the remote software — before clicking Connect Receiver — click on the Sabine Online menu and select Add New Mic Models. This will open the Mic SuperModeling™ update wizard:
   
   
2. Click Download Mic Models From Sabine to receive the entire set of available micropohone models. NOTE: you must be online to download mic models.
3. Click Load Mic Models From Disk to upgrade your receiver with your newly downloaded models. This action does not require online status and can be down at a later date. Mic models can be copied and stored onto a disk for upgrading receivers in the field. The default directory where the Mic SuperModeling™ Update Wizard will store the mic model file is C:\Program Files\Sabine\micmodels.smm. NOTE: this file name remains constant no matter how recently you have downloaded the file and will overwrite any previous micmodels.smm file within the Sabine directory.
