ALACHUA, FL — "The guy
in row 14 who paid $50 for his ticket is my boss," states Jim "Jid"
O'Brien, monitor engineer for Atlanta-based Rock'n'Road Audio, Inc.
"And to make him happy, I use my Graphi-Qs to keep the performers playing
at their best." |

| "It just amazes
me all the functions that the Graphi-Q can do at the same time," attests
Roy Drukenmiller, president of Rock'n'Road Audio, Inc. "Having a graphic
and parametric EQ, feedback control, compressor and delay in a 2-U rack
space saves me rack space, time and money." "We got our first taste of Sabine digital signal processing (DSP) in 1994 during the development process of the Sabine ADF2400 Digital Workstation," recalls Drukenmiller. "When the Graphi-Q line came out," he continues, "we knew it would be a valuable addition to our inventory and purchased six GRQ3102 full-front-panel units to replace an existing major manufacturer's equipment in a monitor rack." |

| Rock'n'Road monitor engineers enjoy the power, flexibility and ease-of-use of the Sabine software. "Sabine software makes our job so much easier," asserts O'Brien. "For example, with the digital delay you can make your adjustments in milliseconds, feet or meters — and there's even a temperature adjustment with Fahrenheit or centigrade scales," he exclaims. "Furthermore, I can move from one daisy-chained Graphi-Q to the next with a simple key stroke, sharing or linking settings as I go." | |||||||||
| The Graphi-Q allows users to store and recall settings, either within the unit, or as an external file. "I love the memory preset function," states O'Brien. "If I have a set of Meyer's wedges out on the floor, I start with my Meyer's preset and tweak from there - tomorrow it may be EAWs." "Once I had a visiting engineer spend twenty minutes to get his first vocal monitor mix just right," recalls O'Brien. "And then he asked me to set the rest of the vocal wedges to it. With Sabine presets, it was a breeze." | |||||||||
| Current Rock'n'Road clients include the Atlanta Misic Mid-Town Festival, Atlanta Falcons and Coca Cola. Rock'n'Road supplies sound for "Falcons Landing" — part of the pre-game live music show for every Falcons game. | |||||||||
