NOTE:
Firmware version must be compatible with NAVIGATOR SYSTEM PROCESSORS
Software version. See notes below.
Your Navigator
has its own operating system which is called firmware. Periodically we may
update the Navigator firmware to make improvements in the features and
functions. You can take advantage of these upgrades on your own.
Step
One: The first step to upgrading your Navigator firmware is to
download the Navigator
Upgrade Wizard and run the setup to install the wizard
software on your computer.
Step
Two: Next you will download the latest firmware shown below on
this page. We recommend you save it in the Sabine/Navigator directory. If
you save it elsewhere make a note of it - you will need to know this when
you upgrade your Navigator. The download is a ZIP file that contains
firmware for all Navigators. Run WinZip and extract the firmware files.
Step
Three: Run the Navigator Upgrade Wizard and follow the on-screen
instructions to upgrade the internal firmware of your Navigator. When
prompted make sure you choose the firmware file for your model Navigator.
If you choose the wrong file the process will stop - you will not damage
your unit.
NOTE: Your Navigator's
current firmware version will appear in the lower right of the LCD screen
briefly during boot up, just prior to the main screen.
