GOES LIVE IN UK SABINE'S ADF-4000 POWER-Q IS THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT FOR LIVE 'RADIO CAFÉ |
ALACHUA FLORIDA Sabine's Power-Q ADF-4000 is the right equipment when the "client demands the best and won't cut corners," says Arron Smith, contractor for Birmingham, U.K.-based TASC. Smith is responsible for the audio-visual installation within two "Radio Cafés" being built for Capital Radio Group, UK's largest commercial radio group. The AV installations are designed to receive and transmit live simultaneous radio broadcasts via ISDN links from a state-of-the-art DJ booth. There is also the capacity to record and transmit live sessions from the stage area which is equipped with a Sabine Power-Q ADF-4000 with built-in feedback extermination. The Power-Q allows the artists complete freedom of movement with wireless mics-without the risk of running into feedback, and also without having to spend a lot of time adjusting the EQ for each individual act. Arron commented, "Lutricia McNeal who recently performed a live set here, absolutely loved it! Both she and her engineer thought the system sounded great, although the engineer did suffer momentary heart failure when Lutricia started waving her [wireless] mic around and dashing around the stage, until he realised that the Power-Q had it covered. There wasn't even a hint of feedback, and the system still sounded great." The POWER-Q combines the functions of nine separate products into one easy-to-use 2U package. The 24-bit, two-channel POWER-Q contains Parametric EQ (up to 12 band per channel, with low and high pass filters), 31-band Graphic EQ with adjustable filter widths, full-featured Real-Time Analyzer, Compressor/Limiter, Delay, Noise Gate and 24 patented FBX Feedback Exterminator Filters (12 per channel). All functions operate concurrently. Smith states that he is delighted with both client and equipment. "It's always refreshing to work with a client who demands the best. As a result, we have been able to specify the right equipment for the job, and the results speak for themselves." Sabine's FBX products are used by such diverse venues as the United Nations (NY), The American Stock Exchange, The Late Show with David Letterman, The Vatican, NASA and Walt Disney Company. In addition, Sabine products have been selected for use at the Sydney (Australia) Olympics 2000. Top |

| SABINE'S ADF-4000 POWER-Q FIXES IT ALL AT ELECTRIC LADY STUDIOS, NY, NY. |
| ALACHUA FLORIDA Tom Soares, recording
engineer at the world-famous Electric Lady Studios in New York City, recalls
bemoaning the absence of a memory function in analog graphic equalizers-a
grievance that ended the day he plugged a Sabine Power-Q ADF-4000 into Electric
Lady's signal chain. Now Soares calls the Sabine Power-Q his "fix it
machine." "I love it in the studio and the reason is that it sounds
so good&I can't live without it." Electric Lady's clientele list is long and famous-starting with Jimmy Hendrix-and includes many of today's top rappers. "There are a lot of loops in rap music," states Soares. "I like graphic equalizers, but one of the problems I've had is that in a recall situation-bringing a mix back to work on it further-trying to recall an equalizer [setting] is almost impossible." The Power-Q's all-digital programmable Parametric EQ and Graphic EQ and 99 user-defined memory presets makes that no problem. Feedback is also a "non-problem" when the Power-Q is online. Soares says that "rappers love loud headphones and a lot of times you get leakage-and ultimately feedback." Soares uses the Power-Q's patented FBX filters to eliminate feedback without affecting the audio program. Power-Q automatically finds and eliminates feedback during program, not just at set up. The POWER-Q combines the functions of nine separate products into one easy-to-use 2U package. The 24-bit, two-channel POWER-Q contains Parametric EQ (up to 12 band per channel, with low and high pass filters), 31-band Graphic EQ with adjustable filter widths, full-featured Real-Time Analyzer, Compressor/Limiter, Delay, Noise Gate and 24 patented FBX Feedback Exterminator Filters (12 per channel). In addition, Sabine products have been selected for use at the Sydney (Australia) Olympics 2000. Sabine also manufactures the True Mobility Wireless Systems, including the hot, new 2.4 GHz Smart Spectrum Wireless Systems with Targeted Input Processing (FBX, Compressor/Limiter, De-Esser) and digital Mic SuperModeling; UHF & VHF True Mobility Wireless Systems; the Graphi-Q 31-band Digital EQ, FBX Feedback Exterminator®, Compressor/Limiter and Delay, theREAL-Q2 Real-Time Adaptive Equalizer; FBX-SOLO Feedback Exterminators®; and the SDA-102 Digital Delay.
