WEST VIRGINIA’S TRI-STATE RACETRACK & GAMING CENTER WINS WITH SABINE
ALACHUA, FLORIDA — “We recommended Sabine equipment the moment we walked in the door,” asserts Brett Ramage, Director of Project Services for Sport View Technologies of Brighton, Michigan. A long-time proponent of Sabine FBX Feedback Exterminator® products, Sport View recently installed six True Mobility Wireless UHF Microphone systems, four channels of Power-Q™ Multifunction Digital Signal Processor and four channels of the Graphi-Q™ Multifunction Digital Signal Processor into the expansion of West Virginia’s Tri-State Racetrack & Gaming Center complex.

“This was the first time to install Sabine equipment for this client,” recalls Ramage, “but I knew that Sabine was right for the installation.”

Ramage makes good use of the extended range of the True Mobility® wireless. “There’s an awful lot of steel work in this place,” comments Ramage. “The external extension antennas give us the range and reception we need with no drop outs.”

The True Mobility® SWM3000 Wireless Microphone Series includes Sabine's built-in Targeted Input Processing: FBX Feedback Exterminator®, compressor/limiter and intelligent de-esser. Systems are available with handheld, lavalier, or headworn microphones.

In addition to the Targeted Input Processing offered by the True Mobility® wireless systems, Ramage makes use of the multifunction digital processing of Sabine’s Graphi-Q™ and Power-Q™. “I have 2 channels of Power-Q™ for the stereo front-of-house system,” states Ramage. “The Power-Q has an intuitive setup and a time-saving memory preset function. I use the Sabine SQ1001 reference mic with the Power-Q™ — makes it very easy to get excellent results,” he continues.

The Power-Q™ ADF4000 combines the functions of nine separate products into one easy-to-use 2U package. The 24-bit, two-channel Power-Q™ contains Parametric EQ (up to 12 band per channel, with low and high pass filters), 31-band Graphic EQ with adjustable filter widths, full-featured Real-Time Analyzer, Compressor/Limiter, Delay, Noise Gate and 24 patented FBX Feedback Exterminator® filters (12 per channel). The Power-Q allows all functions to operate concurrently.

Ramage uses 2 channels of Power-Q™ and 4 channels of Graphi-Q™ for the Performance areas monitors system. “Sabine feedback control is a life saver, especially on monitors,” exclaims Ramage. Tri-States Ford echoes this faith in Sabine: “Every time we have a band come in, we use the Sabine equipment to ring out feedback and it works flawlessly.”

The Graphi-Q™ is a 31-band Digital EQ, FBX Feedback Exterminator®, Compressor/Limiter and Delay all in one, with all functions able to operate concurrently. The Graphi-Q™ comes in single channel (one in, two out) or dual channel (two in, two out) models. Single-channel GRQ3101 and dual-channel GRQ3102 Graphi-Qs can be controlled by front panel or by powerful computer software. Single-channel GRQ3101-S and dual-channel GRQ3102-S Graphi-Qs have blank front panels and are computer controlled. The Graphi-Q is SIA SmaartLive™ compatible.

Located in Cross Lanes, West Virginia, the complex boasts a 33,000 square foot casino, which features 1,000 slot machines. The recent expansion added 600 more slot machines, a special simulcast system to replay races and a spacious restaurant.
