GUITARIST
MICHAEL WILTON RELIES ON THE SABINE 2.4 GHz WIRELESS
MICROPHONE SYSTEM
Michael Wilton, lead guitarist for the bands Queensryche
and Soulbender, relies on the Sabine SWM7000 2.4 GHz
Smart Spectrum wireless guitar system. Wilton has tried
other wireless microphone systems in the past, but only
the Sabine 2.4 GHz gives him the seamless sound he desires.
“The
Sabine wireless is reliable and never dropped out once,”
says Wilton. “Other members of the band use other
people’s expensive wireless systems that always
drop out. In the future, I’m going to get our
lead singer, Geoff Tate, a Sabine handheld wireless.”
“The sound quality of the Sabine wireless is extremely
good for the guitar,” asserts Wilton. “It
works really well for live sound.” The SWM7000
series utilizes a new scheme for transmission and reception
that provides flat response from 20 Hz to 20 KHz —
ideal for use with both musical instruments and voice.
With the release of Queensryche’s album “Art
of Live”, Queensryche is gearing up for their
US Tour beginning in October. This tour will feature
performances of the legendary album “Operation:
Mindcrime.”
The
SWM7000 2.4 GHz wireless mic system can withstand the
rigors of touring. All transmitters are aluminum and
built for heavy-duty applications, with controls hidden
behind security covers. The on/off switch on the beltpack
transmitter is programmable, and the antenna is hard
rubber and built into the case, making it almost impossible
to break. “The Sabine wireless beltpack is solid,
whereas some of the others on the market today are plastic
and fatigue after just a few weeks,” states Wilton.
The
SWM7000 Series incorporates Sabine’s Smart Spectrum®
technology — a breakthrough in RF technology that
allows up to 70 simultaneous wireless systems to operate
with maximum fidelity. And Sabine’s 2.4 GHz systems
will co-exist with any existing UHF or VHF system without
interference.
SWM7000 wireless microphone systems are available in
one- or two-channel models, with a choice of Audix OM3
or OM5 dynamic capsules or Voice Technologies condenser
capsule for the handheld transmitter, or lavalier, headworn
or instrument pickup input for the beltpack transmitter.
