SABINE SWM7000 2.4 GHZ WIRELESS MIC UNLEASHES TRAPT

“The transmitter is the weak link for most wireless microphone systems,” states Jeff Good, production manager and FOH engineer for Warner Bros. recording artists Trapt. “But the new Sabine 2.4 GHz transmitter is amazing. The high-end clarity — where most units tend to fluctuate — is crystal clear.”

“Furthermore, it’s very easy to use in RF-unfriendly environments,” asserts Good. “For example, we were at the Minnesota State Fair and having a terrible time with interference on our other wireless units, but the Sabine 2.4 GHz was fine the moment we turned it on — no interference whatsoever!”

Sabine’s new SWM7000 systems operate on the globally accepted and license-free 2.4 GHz band and are clear of the new DTV frequencies. The SWM7000 series utilizes a new scheme for transmission and reception that provides flat response from 20 Hz to 20 KHz — ideal for use with both voice and musical instruments.

Two SWM7000 Smart Spectrum® 2.4 GHz wireless microphone systems are currently on tour with Trapt.

"I've used other mics before the Sabine," recalls Trapt lead vocalist Chris Brown, "and you can definitely hear the difference — the Sabine mic is easy to run around with and it just rocks!"

SWM7000 2.4 GHz receivers come with Sabine’s built-in digital signal processing (DSP) including an FBX Feedback Exterminator®, compressor/limiter and digital microphone modeling.

"Sabine's front panel control allows you to change settings very quickly, even in stressful situations," asserts Good.

The SWM7000 can be controlled via front panel or powerful networking software, and all 70 available RF channels can be used simultaneously. Furthermore, transmitters come with NiMH rechargeable batteries and plug in just like a cell phone.

"Operating the SWM7000 is very intuitive and easy," asserts Good. "It took me five seconds to set up the microphone."

SWM7000 series wireless microphone systems are available in one- or two-channel models, with a choice of Audix OM3 or OM5 capsules for the handheld transmitter, or lavalier, headworn or instrument pickup input for the beltpack transmitter.

Sabine SWM7000 2.4 GHz microphone systems are also on tour with world-renowned hip-hop group Black Eyed Peas (A&M/Interscope) and the Ozzfest-touring band Endo (Sony Music).
