The power of the patented FBX lies in its ability to control feedback during the program, not just at setup time. SMARTFilter technology builds on this and gives these new FBX products an extremely robust feedback control algorithm that only targets feedback, not music or speech.
“We are extremely proud of this new algorithm,” says Rob Rothschild, Director of Sales & Marketing for Sabine. “This new filtering algorithm defines and delivers exactly what an automatic feedback controller should be.”
The first step in successful feedback control is deciding whether a tone is indeed feedback. There is no benefit to the user if the device makes filters on music instead of feedback. These new FBXs make that decision more accurately than any other feedback controller. If true feedback is detected, SMARTFilters are placed faster and with better resolution, all the while maintaining your sonic integrity.
Sabine’s new FBX Feedback Exterminators are available in the single
channel FBX1200 and the dual channel FBX2400. Both models have improved
audio specifications, 24-bit digital processing, and both XLR and ¼”
inputs and outputs. The FBX1200 and 2400 include Sabine’s Quick and
Quiet setup mode, and both include the flexibility to mix filter widths
and types according to the application. A new Dynamic filter release timer
is also included.
The FBX Feedback Exterminator is included in other Sabine products, including
the SWM7000 Series 2.4 GHz Wireless Microphones, the Graphi-Q and Power-Q
multifunction processors, and the FBX SOLO feedback controllers.
